December 2019

Greetings Families:

The Hudtloff Staff and I are thankful for the partnerships that we have with our families, and we look forward in strengthening and growing these partnerships. We are thankful for the time we spend with our students and the positive relationships that are fostered through classroom instruction, sports, clubs, and advisory. Thank you Hudtloff families for sending your students to us.

Hudtloff is dedicated in creating lifelong collaborative learners who demonstrate character and leadership.  To support this Hudtloff has embraced Character as one of the Four Pillars that we are focused on this school year. Our focus on Character supports the Hudtloff Mission- To ensure a learning environment which all feel safe and prepares our students to contribute and be successful.  The six characteristics of Character are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

Hudtloff is proud to announce our Winter Concert will be on December 17th with Band starting at 6PM and Choir starting at 7:30PM.  Please join us as we celebrate the season with music.

First semester middle quarter progress reports will be handed out during 6th period on Friday, December 13th. Please ask your student to show you his/her progress report and/or visit Skyward Family Access to view your student’s academic progress. Please take time to have a conversation with your student about his/her progress report.

The December calendar is full with sports and extracurricular clubs. Winter 1 sports have started: Girls Basketball and Co-Ed Wrestling. Extracurricular clubs, tutoring (teachers will announce to classes when meeting), and extended science meet on Tuesday’s from 3:15PM to 4:15PM.

Clover Park School District’s website has an online payments system-inTouch Receipting System. This is a great way to pay student fees and fines. It can be located in the Parent section of the website.
Family Access: View student attendance, grades, and to load lunch account.

Afterschool events: Afterschool activities, sports, sports games, and Tutoring are supervised and have an end time. Any student who is NOT involved or attending one of these events will be asked to call home and get picked-up by a parent/guardian. Any student attending a sporting event and not following the district/school/sportsmanship policies will be asked to call home and get picked-by a parent/guardian. Any student who is constantly not getting picked-up after an event will not be able to attend future events.

Bus Notes: Parents, if your student is requesting to ride a different bus home (to go to a friend’s house or other) please send a note. Your student needs to bring the note to the main office to get approval. Main office will call you to verify, and an admin will sign. This needs to be done in the morning or at lunch. Any note brought to the main office after school leaves little time to verify prior to buses leaving. Please put your phone number on the note.

Our P.R.I.D.E is Showing!

Respectfully Yours,
