Dear Hudtloff Families:

We are days away from the end of the school year. As we finish up, please remind your student to finish strong with attendance, academics, and behavior.

To avoid fines (fines transfer to high school), please support your student and collect all library books, textbooks, and band instruments (if apply) for turn-in to the library. Please remind your student to check the Lost & Found for any missing items (coats, shoes, backpacks, and other).

Hudtloff will be a backpack free campus starting Monday, June 10th. Please support us by reminding your student to leave their backpack at home.

8th Grade families please join us on Friday, June 7th at 5:30PM for 8th Grade Promotion. Following 8th Grade Promotion, PTSA is hosting a dinner and dance to celebrate Hudtloff 8th graders. The dinner and dance is for Hudtloff 8th graders- only. The dance will end at 8PM, so please pick your student up by 8:10PM.

Hudtloff will recognize students who have earned awards for academics, and who have been select to highlight amazing character at the end-of-year Award Assembly on Tuesday, June 11th, please call 253.583.5400 for grade level start times.

Tuesday, June 11th is the end of the 4th quarter. Final grades will be mailed home and are available to view on Skyward Family Access.

Hudtloff staff and I have enjoyed this year with all our students. We wish students and families a wonderful and safe summer. Hudtloff’s main office will be closed for the month of July. It will reopen on August 5th @ 8AM.

Removing Students from School: In order to support academics at Hudtloff, we are asking that families do not remove students in the last 15 minutes of the school day. We are asking that families wait until 3:15PM. In emergency cases, we will honor the family’s need to access their student, and as always- we will honor prearranged requests for early releases. These requests need to be brought to the main office at the start of the school day.

Scheduling Meetings with Teachers/Administration: Families we know your time is very valuable, as is the teachers and administration. Please review and follow these steps for schedule a meeting with teachers/administration:

For Teachers:

• Call or Email the teacher to schedule an appointment
• Appointments will be before or afterschool
• Appointment may or may not happen on the same day as the request
• Appointment will depend on family’s and teacher’s availability

Before School Drop-Off & After-School Pick-Up: Families please help us keep our parking lots safe – WATCH for students. Do not pull into the Bus drop-off/loading area.

Clover Park School District’s website has an online payments system-inTouch Receipting System. This is a great way to pay student fees and fines. It can be located in the Parent section of the website.

Family Access: View student attendance, grades, and to load lunch account. Afterschool events: Afterschool activities, sports, sports games, and Tutoring are supervised and have an end time. Any student who is NOT involved or attending one of these events will be asked to call home and get picked-up by a parent/guardian. Any student attending a sporting event and not following the district/school/sportsmanship policies will be asked to call home and get picked-by a parent/guardian. Any student who is constantly not getting picked-up after an event will not be able to attend future events.

Bus Notes: Parents, if your student is requesting to ride a different bus home (to go to a friend’s house or other) please send a note. Your student needs to bring the note to the main office to get approval. Main office will call you to verify, and an admin will sign. This needs to be done in the morning or at lunch. Any note brought to the main office after school leaves little time to verify prior to buses leaving. Please put your phone number on the note.
