Learning Continues

All schools in Washington state are closed to on-site learning for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year to continue to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Clover Park School District has implemented a continuous learning plan to support students for the remainder of the school year. Below is some important information for you regarding at-home learning, student meals and child care.

Continuous learning

Student learning for students in grades K-8 includes a combination of weekly learning packets and online learning with their classroom teacher. Schools have created schedules for teachers to meet with students online. Teachers are providing students with assignments and assessing student learning weekly.

The district has updated grading for the 2019-20 school year, in compliance with directives from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Middle schools will use this flowchart to determine student grades this spring.

You can find more information about continuous learning on our district website.

Learning packets available weekly

Learning resource packets are available for pickup each Wednesday at meal delivery locations and the district’s Student Services Center (10903 Gravelly Lake Dr. SW, Lakewood, WA). You can also download the packets on the district website.

Student meals distributed daily

Student meals are distributed daily to 69 locations in Lakewood and on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Meal times and locations are available on the district website.

Child care available for first responders and health care, pharmacy and grocery workers

The district has partnered with YMCA of Pierce County to provide free child care for eligible children of first responders and health care, pharmacy and grocery store workers in grades K-5 during the school closure. You can find more information on the district website.

Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work together to support the health and safety of our students, staff, families and community.
