Student Meals
CPSD’s student nutrition department offers breakfast and lunch to students and staff in Clover Park School District and participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. Student Nutrition also offers a variety of catering options for district events and meetings. Sodexo Corporation provides all meal services for CPSD schools.
Free Meals
CPSD provides free breakfast and lunch for all students. Families are emailed a survey for each student to be completed through the year. We encourage families to fill out when received as it can help with other benefits for the student.
Online Payments
Student balances follow the student from school-to-school within the district and remain on the student account from one year to the next. This includes negative balances.
You may pay for ala carte items (including milk) on your child's Food Service account and/or pay toward negative balances.
Payments can be made by cash, money order, check or online through RevTrak.
To make a payment into your child's account, you may give payments (cash, money order, or check) directly to a member of the kitchen staff, or you may make online payments through the online system, RevTrak.
- Make checks/money orders payable to the Clover Park School District.
- Please include the student's name, ID number, grade, and homeroom teacher's name on the check or money order (or on the envelope if you send a cash deposit).

When you make online payments for your student's Food Service account with RevTrak:
- You can easily access the online payment program through Family Access.
- Deposits reach the kitchen quickly (within about a minute of your deposit being confirmed).
- You can make one payment for multiple students and select the amount you want deposited into each account.
Log into your Skyward Family Access account, choose to pre pay school meals online with RevTrak, and complete the payment steps.
View instructions for making online payments with RevTrak through Skyward Family Access .You will receive confirmation of your deposit/payment by e-mail, and in about the time it takes you to open and read that message, the funds you deposited will be available in your student's account!
In addition to pre-paying for school meals, from Family Access you can see if your student was served a meal and monitor account balances. You can even opt-in to receive emails if your student’s account balance falls below $10.

Upon request, the balance of your student's account can be refunded. Refunds take approximately three to four weeks, and the refund check is mailed to the parent/guardian. To request a refund, call the Child Nutrition Services office at 253-583-5490.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Special Dietary Accommodations
Purpose: To ensure that students with special dietary needs receive appropriate meal accommodations in compliance with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, this SOP outlines the process for requesting, reviewing and implementing dietary modifications to support students with disabilities and medical conditions.
Scope: This procedure applies to all students within the Clover Park School District who require special dietary accommodation due to medical conditions, food allergies or disabilities that affect their diet.
Definitions:
- Disability: A physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, including allergies, digestive conditions or metabolic disorders.
- Medical Authority: A licensed healthcare provider authorized to diagnose and treat medical conditions, including:
- Medical Doctor (MD)
- Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Physician’s Assistant (PA) with prescriptive authority
- Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)
- Naturopathic Physician
- Meal Modification: Changes made to standard meal service to meet a student’s documented medical needs.
Procedure:
- Requesting Special Dietary Accommodations
- Parents/guardians must complete the Request for Special Dietary Accommodations form, available on the Clover Park School District Nutrition Services website or form provided by the nurse.
- The completed form must include:
- The student’s full name and school.
- A detailed description of the medical condition affecting the student’s dietary needs.
- Specific food(s) to be omitted and suggested substitutions.
- A signature from a licensed medical authority.
- Completed forms should be submitted to the Schools Assigned Nurse who will send it to the Student Nutrition department.
- Processing Requests
- The Nutrition Services Director reviews submitted forms for completeness.
- If additional information is required, the director will contact the parent/guardian and/or medical provider.
- Once approved, the student nutrition team will:
- Modify the student's meal plan according to the documented needs.
- Train kitchen staff on necessary modifications and food handling to prevent cross-contamination.
- A written confirmation of the accommodation will be sent to the parent/guardian.
- Coordination with School Nurses and District Nursing Contacts
- The school nurse will assist in reviewing medical documentation and ensuring the dietary needs align with the student’s overall health plan.
- The nurse will communicate any changes in a student’s medical condition to Nutrition Services.
- The district nursing contacts for special dietary accommodations are:
- The school nurse will collaborate with food service staff to ensure dietary modifications are properly implemented.
- The student nutrition office will also enter the dietary information in skyward so it will be in the POS system when the student comes through the line

- All food service employees will receive training on food allergy management and cross-contact prevention.
- Staff will be briefed on specific student dietary needs as required.
- Emergency Preparedness
- Staff will follow emergency response procedures in case of an allergic reaction or medical emergency.

- Review and Compliance
- Nutrition Services will maintain documentation of all dietary accommodation requests.
- Each Kitchen will ensure they also have documentation of student allergies for their site
- Requests must be updated annually or when a student’s dietary needs change.
- Compliance with USDA regulations will be regularly reviewed to ensure the district meets all requirements.
